    医学院是紧张和苛刻的. The 加速审查计划(ARP) is designed for students who have the drive to become successful physicians, but who need additional academic and study skills support to ensure their success in medical school. ARP provides students with the sound academic foundation and tools necessary to excel. 

    This one-semester program exposes students to virtually every Basic Science course and faculty member. Classes are small, and students receive a tremendous amount of personalized attention and support.     Students who successfully complete the ARP go on to become some of the strongest medical students at CQ9电子游戏. The rigorous and deliberate structure of the ARP instills academic confidence and discipline in students, 为他们过渡到基础科学项目做准备.

    All students who apply to CQ9电子游戏 and have met all minimum entrance requirements will be considered for the 加速审查程序. The 招生 Committee will determine which students to invite into the ARP based on each student’s prior academic performance and personal interview.

    Students who successfully complete the ARP with a grade average of 70% or above will be granted admission to the CQ9电子游戏 MD program. Those who successfully complete the ARP typically perform exceedingly well in medical school.

    基础科学和系统课程

    The ARP encompasses material from virtually every class in the 基础科学研究项目, 包括解剖学, 医学伦理学, 及以后. 该项目还设有系统课程, 将多个学科整合到一个单一系统中. This approach permits students to demonstrate their ability to digest and retain the different types of information presented in medical school. 

    Each of the academic courses includes a short examination at the end of the course to permit faculty to evaluate progress and development. In addition, a comprehensive final examination is given at the end of the program.

    The anatomy course examines principles of anatomy with an overview of the human body; there is an emphasis on the head, 胸腔, 腹部 & 骨盆. 临床导向的解剖参考也提供. A one-week laboratory section gives students experience at identifying selected structures on anatomical models and cadavers.

    Biochemists strive to give a comprehensive descriptions and understanding of chemical structures and processes critical to cell function and viability. Emphasis will be placed on the major families of biomolecules and central metabolic pathways.

    同时强调医学的同情心和人文主义方面, neurobehavioral sciences provides the prospective physician with the basic understanding of human behavior in the context of health and sickness. The course also encompasses the study of brain function and common neurological diseases.
